Charmouth occurs as village at a mouth of the River Char in west Dorset, England. the village has a population of 1,305 (2001).

A village is well understand for fossils, of which there are many to become discovered. A Jurassic Coast visitor centre identifies fossils found in the area.

In the area called 'Lower Sea Lane', come a select few shops.
